Digital Storytelling

Digital Storytelling for ELL students

Digital storytelling is an innovative tool for ELL students to employ as part of an effective English language learning activity. It allows instructors to serve a broad spectrum of grade levels with a disparate assortment of academic needs while allowing students to collaborate as part of a team effort. Combining 21st century computer skills with a literacy activity is embraced by students.

Teachers are encouraged to have students review the science curriculum on the English for Your Future web site and create a video documentary or story that reinforces those scientific concepts. Students should include both English and Spanish subtitles so they can demonstrate their language acquisition skills.
